fame, fate, and the first kissI’m probably going to regret adding Fame, Fate, and the First Kiss by Kasie West to my TBR, but I’m a sucker for hate to love stories. The problem is that I haven’t had a lot of success with enjoying Kasie West’s novels thus far. And perhaps this book will surprise me and be better than I imagine it will be, but most likely I imagine that it will fall short of expectations and just be another of those ridiculously cheesy books where the characters don’t quite make sense and I find myself disappointed. At least, that’s what happened with West’s By Your Side. So, I’m going into this one tentatively with very low expectations. Which is honestly the best way I think I could ever enter one of her books.

Fame, Fate, and the First Kiss is about a girl who wants to be an actress who is trying to finish her senior year of high school when she gets her big break. Naturally this leads into getting a tutor, whom apparently is one of the most frustrating guys in existence. I think there’s no question of who ends up being the main love interest here and while that definitely captured my attention, I just worry it will be as cliche and silly as all the rest. I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see.

What are your thoughts on this book? On Kasie West’s novels? Do you think you’ll be adding it to your TBR or passing on it? Let me know in the comments! And, as always, happy reading everyone!

  1. I love Kasie West but this one fell a bit short for me. I wasn’t as invested as I was in most of the other ones so it fell in with By Your Side for me. I’m still looking forward to her next one that comes out this year!
