The weekend always seems to get away from me.

I barely have time for anything and somehow have lately managed not to get the scheduled posts in. At some point, I truly hope that I’ll be able to get this blog on a scheduled post system where these posts are all pre-written, but it’s beginning to feel as though this is a task and a half, leaving me always catching up. But, I’m going to try and schedule next weekends so it doesn’t happen again that I have nothing posted.

As for the weekend itself, it was pretty long. We’ve had dinner get togethers for the first time since college–it’s insane how difficult it is to make friends outside of work when you’re an adult–and of course there’s always the puppy and all the work he is. I think we realized we made the mistake of making him thoroughly dependent on our attention to the point that he really struggles to be without us when we’re home. If we’re even a little bit out of sight, he’s upset.

There’ve been shopping errands as well, though the exciting thing about this is that we’ve finally bought some dressers and a headboard for the bed, which has allowed me to pick up a lot of stuff from the floor (books, mainly) so that Mickey can spend more time out of his crate without supervision. After all, I think I’d just die if he managed to chew up one of my books.

So, that was basically my weekend. I really only ever managed to get two chapters of reading done out of one book, which isn’t really how I wanted my reading schedule to go, but what can you do? Anyway, here’s to crossing your fingers that I’ll be able to get all my posts this week scheduled so that I wont run into that problem again!

I hope you all had a great weekend and now have a good Monday (let’s face it, Monday’s are rarely great). Happy reading, all!
