Ahhh! I have to say, I am so crazy excited to start reading this book. I am honestly so thrilled and pleased at having an opportunity to read this prior to its publication date. Rust and Stardust by T. Greenwood provides an account of the real experiences of Sally Horner, the kidnapping victim whose story inspired Vladimir Nabokov to write the very troubling novel, Lolita.

There is no doubt that this story is certainly going to delve into some seriously disturbing events, but at the end of the day I’m really glad that it was written. I think there’s an importance to understanding the history and terrible things that this little girl was forced to go through. We should be educated on matters such as this, especially considering how iconic Lolita has become.

I’m going to be re-reading Lolita before I begin this one.
